About DaJia Johnson
Hi, I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Licensed Master's Social Worker specializing in the treatment of addiction for individuals, families, and groups. Mental health care and addiction are areas of illness that often go untreated. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to being an advocate, voice of reason, and ally for those seeking guidance and sobriety. Once you have completed an inpatient detox program, it is imperative to continue with outpatient addiction counseling to maintain and secure your road to recovery. I provide clients with a space to be open, vulnerable, and free of shame or guilt. A space to tell their truth while learning therapeutic skills and strategies to overcome the trauma caused by addiction. I have seen how substance abuse issues affect not only the individual user but everyone around that person. The road to recovery can be long, scary, and challenging, but it is a road that does not have to be traveled alone. I am here to assist you on that journey.
Education and Certifications Bachelor's degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Healthcare studies with a concentration in Management and Marketing. Master's degree from THE Grambling State University, in Public Administration (concentration in Healthcare Admin) Master's degree from THE Grambling State University in Social Work. Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Addiction Counselor Substance Abuse Professional for DOT agencies. I Certification as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
